Season dates

A few useful answers.
What does PisteWindow help me understand?
PisteWindow puts mountain weather and snow reports in the context of a ski holiday. The Winter Picture separates the pistes, the natural mountain landscape and snow in the village, so you can see what each means for your trip.
How is a snow report different from a forecast?
A report describes conditions recorded by its source at a stated time. A forecast describes expected weather for a future period. PisteWindow keeps their dates, sources and meaning alongside the information.
What if my holiday is months away?
Each weather forecast shows the dates it covers. For a holiday further ahead, you can get to know the destination; a day-by-day forecast becomes relevant when your dates are within its range.
Which destinations does PisteWindow cover?
The resort directory includes destinations and official reports from selected ski areas in the Alps and Scandinavia. Available forecasts, reports and trip-planning tools vary by destination and are shown with their coverage.
