Who we are and what these terms cover

Information, not safety advice
PisteWindow shows mountain weather forecasts, snow and lift reports and planning aids built from public sources. Forecasts can be wrong, and reports can be missing, late or incomplete; we mark such cases where we know of them. Do not rely on PisteWindow for avalanche, safety or travel decisions. Check the official resort report, the avalanche bulletin and local conditions before you go.
Accounts and plans
An account is optional and uses your email address and a one-time code. Keep your email account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Paid plans are not on sale yet. Fair use
Use PisteWindow for your own planning and for your own assistant. Do not attack, overload or probe the service, bypass rate limits, or harvest it in bulk to build a competing database. We may limit or block access that harms the service.
Data, marks and licences
Forecast data comes from providers such as Open-Meteo and MET Norway under their licences (CC BY 4.0), with attribution shown on the pages. Maps use OpenStreetMap data (ODbL). Resort names and marks belong to their owners; PisteWindow is independent and not affiliated with them. The PisteWindow software, text and design are protected; all rights reserved [OWNER: confirm].
Liability
The service is provided as it is. We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for intent, gross negligence, and death or personal injury, and your mandatory consumer rights stay in place. [OWNER: lawyer to confirm the limitation of liability].

We may change or end features, and we will update these terms on this page. You can stop using PisteWindow at any time.
